GUN X GUNNER is a round-based FPS where the gunplay and gameplay both constantly adapt. You and up to seven friends will battle it out in fast-paced free-for-all arenas, choosing new weapons, equipment, and stacking game-altering augments each round. As the match progresses, you'll need to outlast your opponents with whatever wildly whimsical build you manage to assemble. Will you become an unstoppable (though perhaps inconsistent) force? Will raw skill carry you - or will luck? Will you invest in core stats or gather as many unique augments as you can? However you choose to threaten the lobby, no two matches ever play the same. The path to victory is yours to claim. A FAST, EVOLVING MATCH Each match is split into rapid combat rounds where players fight with limited stocks. Losing your stocks knocks you out of the round and permanently chips away at your overall match health. Once that health is gone, you’re eliminated from the game. Between rounds, you make critical decisions: Equip new primary weapons Choose powerful augments Select limited-use equipment Boost core stats KO’d early? You’re not stuck waiting. KO'd players can make their next-round selections while the current round is still ongoing. This keeps between-round downtime to a minimum while also allowing those KO'd early to better adapt. TIERS Every selection in GUN X GUNNER belongs to a tier, ranging from a tame Silver to a wickedly dangerous Onyx. During each selection phase, all players choose unique options from the same tier to keep things fair. Silver - Minor gameplay adjustments Gold - Strong, reliable upgrades to your build Diamond - Extremely powerful effects or situational bursts of dominance Onyx - An exceptionally rare tier that can transform any selection, regardless of tier. WEAPONS Primary weapons are powerful, but have limited ammo per stock Secondary weapons have unlimited ammo, ensuring you’re never defenseless As of v0.2, there are 16 primary weapons and 3 secondary weapons, each with unique properties and playstyles. By v1.0, GUN X GUNNER is planned to feature 100+ unique weapons, suited for every range and approach. AUGMENTS Augments are the BREAD X BUTTER of GUN X GUNNER. With hundreds of planned augments across all tiers, augments can: Alter movement, physics, and controls Rewrite the rules for damage, ammo, and healing Introduce powerful risk-reward mechanics Turn death, defeat, or failure into long-term advantages Some augments are subtle stat boosts. Others let you clone yourself, bend gravity, turn bullets into lingering hazards, or punish the entire lobby for ignoring you. There’s no limit to how many augments you can accumulate in a match—survive long enough, and chaos is guaranteed. As of v0.2, 37 unique augments are implemented. By v1.0, 200+ augments are planned, ranging from simple numerical buffs to wild gameplay shifts. EQUIPMENT While limited in quantity, equipment is incredibly powerful. From grenades and deployable gadgets to bandages and traps, equipment refreshes each round (not each stock) and can decisively swing a fight when used well. As of v0.2, 14 equipment options are implemented. By v1.0, 60+ unique equipment items are planned. STATS Throughout a match, players accumulate STATS, shaping their playstyle or countering the choices of others: Durability – Health and armor Speed – Movement and mobility Handling – Reload speed, bullet spread, weapon recoil Luck – Chance to improve selection rounds Some bonuses last a single stock, others a full round, and some stick around permanently. Combine stats with augments to redefine what they affect. Stack wisely—or gamble everything.
