The Facility is a psychological horror strategy game with a retro PSX aesthetic. Set in a world on the brink of collapse, you play as the newly appointed warden of Facility 61. Your job is to manage a rehabilitation center for subjects required by the State for dangerous reconstruction missions. However, not everyone in your custody is human. Hidden among the inmates are Anomalies—mimics capable of disguising themselves as humans. GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW Your goal is to maintain the facility's order, satisfy the State's daily quotas for manpower, and prevent Anomalies from infiltrating the State's workforce. Sending an Anomaly on a mission doesn't just waste a slot; it results in the sabotage of critical operations and severe penalties from the State. CORE FEATURES & MECHANICS Daily Loop Receive Orders: Every morning, you receive instructions via fax from the State. You must analyze these requests to determine how many workers are needed and for what specific tasks. Interrogation: You must interact with inmates face-to-face. Use the dialogue system to question them, inspect their documents for discrepancies, and observe their behavior for physical signs of corruption. Selection: You decide which inmates to deploy. Sending a human to a death trap wastes valuable resources, but deploying an Anomaly will result in mission failure and sabotage. Night Events: The day doesn't end with the deployment. Based on your choices, scripted night events may occur. Surviving the night is the only way to reach the next morning. Anomaly Detection Investigate inmate files, cross-reference their stories, and look for visual distortions. If you fail to identify an Anomaly and send them on an assignment, the State will hold you responsible for the consequences. Paranoia is your only friend. Can you endure the nightmare of Facility 61?
