DREAMIO: AI-Powered Adventures is an innovative 'choose-your-own-adventure' game powered by the latest advancements in generative AI. Your decisions shape the narrative in real-time, offering a unique, personalized adventure with every playthrough. Dynamic AI-Generated Content Story: Your adventure evolves dynamically based on your choices, thanks to large language models. Illustrations: Auto-generated illustrations using image generation models bring your adventure to life. Narration: A narrator accompanies you throughout your journey, made possible by speech synthesis. Multiple Interaction Modes Type your responses manually. Speak into your microphone. Choose from suggested options. The stories are told from a second-person perspective, allowing you to interact directly with the narrator. You can ask questions about your character or surroundings, or engage in a debate. Customizable Gameplay Choose from over 150 large language models such as Llama, Mistral, GPT, Gemma, etc., provided by OpenRouter, OpenAI, and others. Various image generation models like FLUX, SDXL, and their variants are also available. You can also use on-device inference and bring your own models. By default, narrator will end the game if your character dies and will not allow impossible actions. However, you can fully customize how the narrator operates using simple natural language instructions, adjusting the challenges and freedoms within your story as you see fit. The game also includes an optional status system to track elements like your current location, time, inventory, etc. There's also an optional vector database system for long-term memory. Save System The save system allows you to freely explore different story branches and outcomes. Every decision you make leads to a unique adventure! Endless Exploration Choose from preinstalled starting prompts or create your own! Share and download prompts via Steam Workshop. Whether you're surviving a zombie apocalypse or exploring an alien planet, the possibilities are limitless. Note: The cloud AI services that power this game have ongoing operating costs. Your purchase of the game covers these costs up to the amount you paid for the game. Beyond that, to manage additional costs, I've introduced an in-game currency called tokens. This approach was chosen to make the costs of operating the game transparent to players. Without the compromise of having tokens to offset these costs, the game would need to be priced higher than AAA titles to be commercially viable over the long-term. If you run out of tokens, you will automatically receive 10,000 tokens for free each day. If you wish to bypass the token system entirely, you can provide your own API keys, switch to free AI models in the settings, or install the AI models locally from the Steam Workshop.
