"Aviators VR" builds on the foundation of "Aviators," delivering an expanded gaming adventure. The experience is divided into two parts - arcade and educational. The arcade portion gives players a chance to control the upper turret gun of a Handley Page Halifax bomber to fend off attacks from German fighter planes. This highly realistic and immersive segment allows players to interact with the Boulton-Paul Type C Mk. II’s electro-hydraulic mechanism. The educational section lets players explore a virtual hangar of the Polish air wing at one of the British bases. Here, players can experience a guided audio tour, which walks them through the exhibits, such as the Handley Page Halifax bomber and the legendary Spitfire MK.VB manned by Jan Zumbach, while providing historical context for the arcade segment.
